Effective Date: August 26, 2026 Last Updated: August 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information KimberlyArtley.com ("the Site") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The Site is operated by Kimberly Artley ("I," "me," "us," or "we").
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account registration: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (which is encrypted by the platform). If you register with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google.
- Contact form: When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, the topic you select, and your message.
- Newsletter signup: When you subscribe to the "Notes from My End of the Leash" newsletter, we collect your first name (optional) and email address. This information is sent directly to Kit (formerly ConvertKit), our email marketing provider, and is not stored in the KimberlyArtley.com database.
- Behavioral Wellness Assessment: When you complete the assessment, we collect the information you provide about your dog, including behavioral history, environment, relationships, lifestyle, and any other details requested. You may also upload a photograph of your dog.
- Mentorship intake: When you complete the mentorship intake, we collect the information you provide about your goals, priorities, challenges, and circumstances.
- Purchases: When you make a purchase, we collect your purchaser email (captured by Stripe at checkout) and a record of the offering, amount, and transaction details.
Information Collected Automatically
- Analytics events: We track limited, first-party analytics events — page views, link clicks, form starts and submissions, purchase clicks, and content engagement. These events do not include your IP address, device information, or browser type. We also record a coarse referrer source (such as "Google" or "direct") and the hostname of the referring page, when available.
- Platform data: The Base44 platform that hosts the Site may collect essential technical information (such as session identifiers) necessary to operate the Site and provide authentication.
What We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect or store your IP address in our database.
- We do not use third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics or advertising pixels.
- We do not set advertising cookies.
- We do not sell your personal information.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- create and manage your account;
- process purchases and grant access to purchased content;
- conduct the Behavioral Wellness Assessment and deliver the written assessment;
- review mentorship applications and intakes and conduct the mentorship engagement;
- respond to your inquiries and contact form submissions;
- send transactional emails (purchase confirmations, assessment and intake notifications, mentorship invitations);
- send the newsletter to those who subscribe and confirm;
- operate, maintain, and improve the Site; and
- track aggregate, first-party analytics to understand how the Site is used.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following third-party services that may receive or process your information:
Stripe (Payment Processing)
When you make a purchase, your payment is processed by Stripe. Your card information is collected by Stripe on its secure hosted checkout page and is never received, stored, or transmitted by KimberlyArtley.com. Stripe receives your purchaser email, payment amount, and transaction metadata. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe's privacy policy and applicable payment regulations.
Kit / ConvertKit (Newsletter)
When you subscribe to the newsletter, your first name (if provided) and email address are sent to Kit, which is the system of record for our newsletter subscribers. Kit sends a double-opt-in confirmation email; you are not subscribed until you confirm. Kit processes your subscriber information according to its own privacy practices. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email, which is provided by Kit.
Resend (Transactional Email)
We use Resend to send transactional emails — purchase confirmations, contact form notifications, assessment and intake notifications, and mentorship invitations. Resend receives the recipient email address, subject, and email content necessary to deliver the message.
Bunny.net / Bunny Stream (Media Hosting)
Video and audio content on the Site (Masterclasses, Online Courses, audio programs) is hosted and delivered by Bunny.net. When you access media content, Bunny Stream serves the media. Playback is authorized through short-lived signed tokens. Bunny.net may process technical information necessary to deliver media.
Google (Authentication)
If you choose to sign in with Google, Google authenticates your identity and shares your email address and basic profile information with us. Your Google password is not received or stored by us. Google's handling of your information is governed by Google's privacy policy.
Google Fonts
The Site loads typography from Google Fonts. When you visit a page, your browser requests font files from Google's servers, which may process your IP address for the purpose of delivering those files. We do not control Google's processing of this technical information. This is separate from analytics or advertising — we do not use Google Analytics or advertising pixels.
Base44 (Application Platform)
The Site is built on and hosted by Base44, which provides the database, authentication, and backend infrastructure. Your account, purchase records, assessment and intake responses, contact messages, and consent records are stored in the Base44 database. Base44 may process technical information necessary to operate the platform.
4. Where Your Information Is Stored and Processed
Your information is stored in the Base44 database and processed on Base44's servers. Third-party service providers (Stripe, Kit, Resend, Bunny.net, Google) process information in their own environments according to their respective terms and policies. These providers may be located in the United States or other countries.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The KimberlyArtley.com application itself does not set cookies for advertising or tracking purposes. The Base44 platform may use essential cookies or similar technologies necessary for authentication and site operation. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
If we introduce cookies or similar technologies in the future, we will update this Policy.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Specifically:
- Account data is retained while your account is active.
- Purchase records are retained to maintain access to purchased content and for record-keeping.
- Assessment and intake responses are retained as part of the professional service record. Submitted assessments and intakes are stored as immutable historical snapshots.
- Contact messages are retained for inquiry management and record-keeping.
- Consent records are retained as durable evidence of your acceptance of legal documents.
- Newsletter subscriber data is managed by Kit according to Kit's retention practices.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Payment card information is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers. Account passwords are encrypted by the platform. Access to your assessment and intake records is restricted to you and authorized administrators.
However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. Email Marketing and Unsubscribe
