Meet the Lady of the Pack

Meet Kimberly Artley — dog trainer, canine behavior expert, author, and advocate for both ends of the leash.

Kimberly first made her mark as the founder of PackFit Dog Training & Behavior in Washington, DC. Today, she carries that legacy forward under her own name from Southern California, where she continues her hands-on work with dogs and their humans while expanding her impact through writing and education. She is the author of internationally celebrated books, including The Human End of the Leash: Dog Training’s Missing Link, and the creator of Dog Mom University(formerly PackFit Academy), a growing digital learning center designed to empower dog lovers everywhere.

Alongside this work, Kimberly also serves as the Director of Pet Health & Longevity at Long Run VIP Pet Care, where she is building the Whole Pet Wellness program, blending conventional and holistic approaches to pet health.

Often described as the “Mary Poppins” of dog training, Kimberly is known for creating transformations that go far beyond obedience. Her methods address both training fundamentals and deeper behavioral dynamics, helping humans and dogs build lasting trust, structure, and connection. Clients and readers alike call her work “life changing” and “completely transformative.”

At the heart of her mission is a redefinition of what “dog training” really means. For Kimberly, training and behavior are inseparable — obedience alone isn’t enough. True partnership comes when we understand the whole dog, and when both ends of the leash learn to meet one another with clarity, balance, and heart.
