Dog Training Program FAQ’s

How much does each program cost?

Because behavior is layered and complex, our programs are never one-size-fits-all. Each plan is highly tailored to the individual dog, the human(s) raising the dog, their lifestyle, and the unique scenario in front of us.

This is where the IBAC comes in. The IBAC is designed to be both educational for you and informative for us. During this session, we uncover the why behind the behavior, gather the details we need, and then determine both what is required to address it and which program will best support you and your dog.

The IBAC is the only service I offer at a set price, and flexible payment plans are available.

What's your training philosophy and approach?

I specialize in real-world, functional behavioral training — from foundational conditioning with puppies and young dogs to modification and rehabilitation with older dogs. Because behavior is highly complex, with many ingredients contributing to, influencing, and impacting it, our approach is always holistic in nature. It has to be.

Just as importantly, the focus is on fully equipping, empowering, and training the human(s) responsible for the dog. After all, this is who the dog looks to for cues, guidance, directives — and even how to feel about every situation and scenario. Most problematic behaviors in dogs have been unknowingly conditioned by the human, making this a critical piece of any behavioral puzzle.

It’s also essential to understand that obedience training and behavioral training are not the same thing. They are two distinct forms of training, and both are necessary for a well-balanced, well-adjusted dog.

I spoke more deeply on this in an article I wrote for Animal Wellness Magazine [read it here].

Is my dog too old to train?

Absolutely not! Dogs of every age and stage in life are capable of learning. I especially love working with seniors — they are just as trainable, eager, and deserving of support as younger dogs. With the right approach, older dogs can unlearn unwanted behaviors, gain new skills, and enjoy a richer, more comfortable quality of life.

I’ve already worked with a few trainers and am still struggling. How do I know this training program will be any different?

I know what it feels like to be in your shoes — I’ve been there myself. Years ago, I went through seven different trainers trying to find the right help. It was overwhelming, frustrating, expensive, and confusing. But that experience is also what led me to develop a training approach unlike any other — one that has since helped countless clients and their dogs, and has been described as “absolutely transformational” and “life changing.”

Am I guaranteed to have a perfectly trained and perfectly behaved dog?

It’s both impossible and unethical to make guarantees when it comes to behavior. Dogs are living, feeling beings, and their choices are influenced by countless factors — environment, health, history, human consistency, even subtle daily shifts that are outside of our control.

What we can guarantee is that we’ll show you exactly what to do and explain the “why” behind it, giving you the tools and understanding you need. From there, it’s up to you to apply the work consistently. With an open mind, commitment, and follow-through, the great majority of our clients have experienced phenomenal results — and the same is absolutely possible for you.
